HiveOS Targeted For Mining Ravencoin

A recent cyberattack targeted HiveOS a Linux-based operating system used for managing cryptocurrency mining rigs. The attackers exploited weak SSH credentials to gain unauthorized access. They then executed a series of commands to establish a backdoor named autofan and set up a mining configuration to divert mining resources to their own Ravencoin wallet. Initial access was gained by brute-forcing SSH then implemented the Linux backdoor for remote control and further exploitation of mining-related activities.
